People question why pay for a tan when I can get a tan for free in the sun or buy a cheap membership to a tanning salon

Yes, that is very true!  I am a professed tanning bed junkie for about 30 years going 4 - 5 times per week every week.  I understand the way the beds made me feel, the warmth, the escape, the nap!

And now, the money and time I am spending trying to "fix" the severe damage to my skin.  

Hyperpigmentation is deep within the skin layers and takes years to surface and no matter what peel or laser or treatment you do, it always comes to the surface from our skin's natural cell turnover.  Treatments are very costly and time consuming with sub par results.

And the layers and layers of makeup to attempt to cover all those spots!!

Crepey skin and rough textured skin can never be reversed.  It is dehydrated skin from UV rays that has lost its elasticity and smoothness. 

Yes, you can have surgery to remove loose skin - very expensive, painful and time consuming.

Spending thousands of dollars on surgeries and injections and treatments to enhance appearance and then go into the sun or tanning beds is complete hypocrisy!

After your spray tan session wear dark loose clothing , flip flops or sandals

Avoid - tight jeans and work out pants, tight waist band, sneakers, socks, tight boots

First few days are your darkest and tan gradually fades 

Not preparing your skin properly with exfoliation 

Using cleansers with high pH - Dove, Ivory, Dial, Irish Spring to name a few...

Using moisturizers with mineral oil

Exposure to high humidity while developing

Showering in hot water

Excessive sweating - hot yoga, 

running, tennis, high intensity workouts

Time in pool, jacuzzi or ocean without creating a barrier between your tan and water

High pH will cause the tone of your tan to change color

Any beauty services should be completed prior to your spray tan session.

Waxing completed 12 - 24 hours prior, this allows your skin to repair itself and for the pores to close.

Spray tan needs approximately 24 hours to fully develop.  

Pool or ocean will remove your tan while developing.

Sweating can causing spotting, patchiness or peeling of skin while developing.

Each person's skin is unique to that individual.  And how your tan develops will be unique to you. 

A rapid formula can last 10+ days on 1 person and a couple days on the next.

Same with regular developing. 

If you have an event coming  up and time to try different formulas, I highly recommend to do a trial spray tan.  

Select any color to book your appointment.  When you come into the salon, I will let you know what color will work best for your skin tone and your tanning needs.

If you already know what color you have used in the past and loved the results, you can of course book that color.

I recommend to schedule your spray tan 24 - 48 hours prior.  

This gives your skin time to fully develop, get your shower with soap and to moisturize very well.

Spray tan is the better alternative to tanning beds and the sun's UV rays and nothing can be deemed 100% safe.  

I do spray many pregnant and breastfeeding women regularly while taking safety precautions.  

It is recommended to cover mucus membrane openings by wearing a thong or underwear during session.

Wearing a mask and / or nose plugs during session.  

The Vani-T solution the I carry I purchase directly from the company in Australia.  In Australia they have strict guidelines for ingredients used in skincare products and is 95% natural.  It is a beautiful color and can be light to dark.

There is nothing that is 100% safe.  Spray tan is the safest way to achieve a tan.

Spray tan is a mix of tanning solution that interacts with your skin's melanin creating tan on your skin that is on the top layers of your skin. 

You are not being exposed to any UV rays whether from the sun or tanning beds that penetrate deep within skin layers to cause long lasting damage.

Get the spray tan first! Then go to the pool or beach.

I HIGHLY do not recommend getting sprayed with a sunburn. It can cause excessive peeling.  Even the ones that say they never peel... More times than not, they end up peeling after getting sprayed. And that cannot be fixed.

Sunburns can last for months from UV rays penetrating deep within skin layers.

Spray tan cannot make skin imperfections vanish, but it can make them less noticeable by tanning the skin darker.  

Spray tan can make the lines blend better but cannot be perfectly matched.  The skin texture and layers are not the same so the spray tan will develop differently in those areas.  

Yes you can!  Spray tan contains no SPF and does not offer any protection against any UV rays - tanning beds or sun.

I recommend to still use sun protection and moisturizer any time you are in the sun.

DO NOT USE BLEACH OR MAGIC ERASER ON ANY PART OF YOUR BODY

Suggestions:

-paste of baking soda and water

-acetone

-hand sanitizer

-pumice

-lemon juice and water

these remedies help fade color and the more you wash your hands the more it will fade.

After getting sprayed avoid touching your skin and whatever you wore during your spray.  It will transfer onto your hands.
